RootsEQ Ring · White (10"-18")
or 4 interest-free payments of $10 with Afterpay
The RootsEQ Ring is a drop-on tone control for toms and snares. It "EQs" out shrill overtones and unwanted frequencies, so the drum sounds warmer and more mellow, with no tape, gels or folded tea towels. Put it on, let your ear be the judge, and lift it off whenever you want the drum open again.
A custom memory-wire outer hoop holds its shape and adds just the right weight to the head, so it stays put. The cloth hoop is double layered, hand stitched and weighted, and it leaves the middle of the head open for uninhibited brush sweeps and stick work. This is the classic white finish.
Sizes: 10", 12", 13", 14", 15", 16" and 18". Sits on top of the batter head. Hand crafted in the USA.
Which RootsEQ?
Want deeper, vintage dampening across the whole head? See the Solid. Working on a snare? The Snare Ring has an open gap for buzz rolls, and the Flappy is looser and more open again. Prefer leather? Have a look at the Snareweight M1 and M80 drum dampeners. The whole range is in the RootsEQ collection.
RootsEQ was made by drummers: Adam Topol, a Los Angeles drummer who spent more than fourteen years recording and touring with Jack Johnson, and New York drum maker Matt Smith. Players using RootsEQ include Mark Guiliana, Peter Erskine, Glenn Kotche and Joey Waronker.
Stocked in Australia, ships from Victoria.
