The Dragonfly Soft Flannel is built from 50 layers of soft flannel, and it's warm, soft and beautiful. It's far more responsive and consistent through all dynamics than a lamb's wool beater.
It stays soft but still has an audible attack at super soft dynamics, and it stays warm and round even when you're playing super loud. For the most legato and elegant kick drum sound, this is your beater.
Dragonfly Percussion makes mallets for the world's top orchestras, and this beater comes from its kick drum range, adapted from Viennese-style timpani mallets and built from tightly stacked discs of flannel, canvas and leather. The full-bodied, warm sound and responsive feel is unlike anything else you've tried.
